DEPUTIES SEIZE METHAMPHETAMINES; THREE ARRESTED NEAR NATCHITOCHES
NATCHITOCHES, LA.

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies, along with Natchitoches Multijurisdictional Drug Task Force Agents, and Natchitoches Probation and Parole Agents have arrested three people on felony drug charges according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Victor Jones Jr.

The investigation began on Friday afternoon at approximately 4:45pm, when Sheriff’s criminal patrol units stopped a 2004 Toyota Avalon on La. Hwy 504 in the Oak Grove area near Natchitoches for a traffic violation.

During the traffic stop, deputies learned of illegal narcotics in vehicle, and observed items associated with illegal narcotics in plain view in the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of seven bags of suspected crystal methamphetamines, suspected alprazolam, suspected klonopon, syringes, and drug paraphernalia.

Bobby N. Jones Jr., 26 of 484 Eight Mile Loop, Natchitoches was booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center charged with Possession of CDS Schedule II Crystal Methamphetamines with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug Paraphernlia and Parole Violation.

Jones is currently on felony parole due to a extensive criminal history consisting of prior narcotics and other criminal offenses.

Amanda Ellis, aka/Amanda Ellis Hayes, 30 of 484 Mile Loop, Natchitoches was booked, charged with Possession of CDS Schedule II Crystal Methamphetamines with Intent to Distribute, Possession of CDS Schedule IV Alprazolam, Possession of CDS Schedule IV Klonopan, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia , Probation Violation and transferred to the Avoyelles women’s correctional facility.

Ellis is currently on felony probation until 2011 due to a extensive criminal history consisting of narcotics and other criminal offenses.

During the investigation, Natchitoches drug task force agents and Natchitoches probation and parole agents conducted a search of Jones residence at 484 Eight Mile Loop, where they discovered and seized some additional drug paraphernalia.

While at the residence, agents encountered a vehicle that arrived at the residence and during a search of the vehicle and occupants, suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia were seized.

Bill Casey McCauslin, 19 of 2107 Eight Mile Loop, Natchitoches was booked into the Natchitoches Detention Center charged with Principal to Possession of CDS Schedule II Crystal Methamphetamines with Intent to Distribute, Possession of CDS Schedule I Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

McCauslin, was arrested on February 10th, by Task Force Agents for Possession of CDS Schedule II Narcotics.

Deputies believe the illegal narcotics was intended for distribution in Natchitoches & Rapides Parish.

All three remain incarcerated.
