NATCHITOCHES MAN LEADS DEPUTIES IN VEHICLE PURSUIT
NATCHITOCHES, LA.

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested a Natchitoches man on multiple traffic violations after he led sheriff’s deputies on a 3 mile pursuit last week according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Victor Jones Jr.

Sheriff’s deputies attempted to stop the Ford ranger, after they observed the vehicle commit a traffic violation on La. Hwy 1 near the old Cotton Patch at approximately 12:39am, on Friday of last week, although the driver refused to stop, exceeding the posted speed limit leading deputies on a pursuit around the La. Hwy 1 Bypass finally stopping after he missed the intersection of the La. Hwy 1 Bypass and La. Hwy 1 South causing the vehicle to leave the roadway stopping in a marshy area near several trees.

Deputies report that after crashing the vehicle, the driver allegedly exited the vehicle running into the woods.

The suspect was taken into custody a short time later, after the Louisiana State Police and Natchitoches Police joined in on the search.

Carl Frank Lee, 45 of 340 South Drive, Apt#1, of Natchitoches was booked into the Natchitoches Detention Center charged with DWI, driving under suspension, no headlights, one of count of resisting an officer, one count of resisting an officer by giving a false name, aggravated flight from a officer, reckless operation of vehicle, driving left of center, failure to stop at a stop sign, running a red light , speeding 90/50 and illegal carrying of brass knuckles.

Bond was set at $39,000.

Deputy Clinton Dunn made the arrest.
