| POWHATAN MAN ARRESTED ON FELONY DRUG CHARGES |

NATCHEZ, LA. Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested a Powhatan man on felony drug charges according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Victor Jones Jr. On Sunday morning, at approximately 12:34am, Deputy Clinton Dunn stopped a 1993 Ford pickup truck on La. Hwy 1 near Natchez for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, deputies observed suspected narcotics in plain view in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of suspected crystal methamphetamines Michael A. “Spidah” Willis, 28 of 4375 Hwy 485, Powhatan, La., was booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center charged with Possession of CDS Schedule II Crystal Methamphetamines, No drivers license, and a equipment violation. The vehicle was stored by a local wrecker service. Willis, remains in the detention center awaiting bond. Deputy Brandon Smith, and Natchitoches Drug Task Force agents assisted in the investigation. |
