FIVE TEENAGERS ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES IN PROVENCAL, LA.
PROVENCAL, LA.

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies, have arrested five teenagers from Provencal on drug charges according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Victor Jones Jr.

Sheriff’s Criminal Patrol Units were working in Provencal on Friday evening at approximately 5:30pm, when they stopped a 1992 Ford Explorer for a switched license plate.

During the traffic stop, deputies discovered suspected marijuana in plain view.

A search of the occupants also led the seizure of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies arrested:

Lucinda “Lucy” Orsborn, 18 of 164 Lee Street, Provencal, La., charged with Possession of CDS Schedule I Marijuana.

Joshua Clint Rhodes, 19 of 436 North Boulevard, Provencal, La., charged with Possession of CDS Schedule I Marijuana.

Three 16 year old Provencal juveniles, charged with Possession of CDS Schedule I Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The juvenile driver of the vehicle was also charged with Switched License Plates, No Drivers License, and No Compulsary Vehicle Insurance.

In addition, after being released to a guardian, one of the juveniles, allegedly exited the courthouse intentionally deflating a tire and scratching a 2009 Ford Crown Victoria sheriff’s unit.

The juvenile was booked again, charged with Criminal Damage to Public Property, Criminal Mischief, and transported to the Ware Juvenile Detention Center in Coushatta, La., pending a juvenile hearing.

The vehicle was towed by a local wrecker service.
