NATCHITOCHES MAN ARRESTED ON FUGITIVE AND DRUG CHARGES
NATCHITOCHES, LA.

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested a Natchitoches man for being a fugitive from the State of Massachusetts, along with felony drug charges according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Victor Jones Jr.

On Sunday afternoon at approximately 5:00pm, deputies stopped a 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck on La. Hwy 504 near Wilkerson Road for a traffic violation.

During the traffic stop, deputies learned that a passenger in the vehicle was wanted in the State of Massachusetts for being a Fugitive Probation Violator, and wanted by the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office on outstanding bench warrants for Failure to Pay Fines.

During a search of the vehicle, deputies also seized suspected marijuana.

Zachary Carroll, 24 of 480 Collins Road, Natchitoches, La., was booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center charged with being a Fugitive Probation Violator from the State of Massachusetts, 2-Counts of Failure to Pay Fines in Natchitoches Parish, and l-Count of Possession of CDS Schedule I Marijuana-2nd Offense.

The driver of the vehicle was cited for No Seat Belt and No Drivers License on Person.

Carroll remains in the Natchitoches Detention Center awaiting extradition to Massachusetts.

Involved in the arrest were Deputy Clinton Dunn assisted by Deputy Victor Kay.
