ROBELINE MAN ARRESTED ON THEFT AND DRUG CHARGES
NEAR MARTHAVILLE, LA.

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested a Robeline man on felony theft and drug charges according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Victor Jones Jr.

Jason D. Pierce, 30 of 10363 La. Hwy 120, Robeline, La., was booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center charged with 2-Counts of Illegal Possession of CDS Schedule III Narcotics, 1-Count of Illegal Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in the Presence of a Child, 1-Count of Felony Theft in Sabine Parish, La. , after issuing a worthless check in the amount of $2023.14 to a business in Sabine Parish on a closed account, Switched License Plates, and Driving under Suspension.

Sheriff’s Criminal Patrol Units were working on La. Hwy 120 near Marthaville, Saturday afternoon at approximately 5:45pm, when they stopped Pierce's 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe for switched license plates.

During the traffic stop, deputies learned that the Pierce's drivers license was suspended and that the vehicle had numerous violations.

Deputies obtained permission to search the vehicle, seizing several suspected hydrocodone pills.

A child in the vehicle was released to a parent.

Pierce remains in the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center awaiting bond on Natchitoches charges, and will be transferred to Sabine Parish after bonding.

The vehicle was stored by a local wrecker service.
