RAPIDES PARISH WOMAN ARRESTED ON FELONY DRUG CHARGES
NATCHEZ, LA.

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Deputies and Natchitoches Multijurisdictional Drug Task Force agents have arrested a Rapides Parish woman on felony drug charges according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Victor Jones Jr.

On, Friday June 12th at approximately 4:58pm, Deputy Clinton Dunn stopped a 1992 Lincoln Town Car on La. Hwy 1 South near Natchez, La. for a traffic violation.

During the traffic stop, deputies suspected suspicious activity requesting permission to search the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of over 9 ounces of suspected marijuana with a potential street value of $540.

Alisha M. Bayonne Sharpee, 26, formerly of Natchitoches now residing at 2222 Linda Drive, Pineville, La. (a passenger in the vehicle) was booked at the Natchitoches Drug Task Force Office charged with Possession of CDS I Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, and Illegal Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in the Presence of a Persons under the Age of 17.

Deputies believe that the illicit narcotics was being transported to Rapides Parish.

Sharpee has been released on bond.
