Natchitoches Parish Fatal Crash

Late last night a single vehicle crash claimed the life of one and injured another.

Troopers responded to the crash around 10:30 pm, which occurred on LA Hwy 119 north of the Gorum community/area. The crash involved a 1995 Chevrolet, driven by Kimberly D. Dunn (W/F 34 yrs) of Boyce, LA. The Chevrolet was south bound on LA Hwy 119 when Dunn lost control and exited the left side of the roadway. After exiting the roadway, the vehicle collided with a tree.

Dunn suffered moderate injuries. Her only passenger, Michael Beebe (50 yrs) of Lena, LA was not wearing his seatbelt and suffered fatal injuries.

Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation.

Troop E Troopers have investigated 35 fatal crashes for the year of 2009, resulting in 41 fatalities. Twenty of the 29 fatal crashes (passenger vehicles only) have involved unrestrained motorists/occupants. Two crashes have involved a motorcycle, three have involved a pedestrian, and one has involved an off road vehicle.
