Date:  04/20/2017

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies and Louisiana State Probation and Parole Agents have arrested a Natchitoches man on parole, narcotics and weapons violations according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Victor Jones Jr.

On Wednesday morning April 19 at approximately 11:50am, Deputies assigned to the NPSO Patrol Division went to a camper trailer in a remote area off of the Pine Cove Road on Clear Lake near Goldonna in efforts of serving an outstanding state parole violation warrant on Jody L. Jordan.

Jordan was being sought because he had violated the terms and conditions of his probation/parole on a prior CDS Schedule II conviction.

Deputies attempted to make contact with Jordan at the camper but initially he failed to answer the door.

Shortly thereafter deputies heard activity in the camper and contacted probation and parole agents for assistance.

Probation and Parole agents responded to the scene to assist deputies and while there they observed Jordan inside the camper.

Agents and deputies issued Jordan several verbal commands to exit the camper in which he refused by remaining inside.

Deputies set-up a perimeter around the location, negotiated and remained on scene for approximately 2-hours until Jordan peacefully surrendered to law enforcement.

During a search of the camper, probation agents requested the assistance of deputies which led to the discovery and seizure of 2-grams of suspected methamphetamine, 4-suspected Diazepam narcotic pills, drug paraphernalia consisting of a weighing scales and baggies including a loaded .40 caliber semi-automatic Hi-Point handgun.

Deputies arrested:
