Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies and Louisiana State Probation and Parole Agents have arrested a Natchitoches man on parole, narcotics and weapons violations according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Victor Jones Jr.
On Wednesday morning April 19 at approximately 11:50am, Deputies assigned to the NPSO Patrol Division went to a camper trailer in a remote area off of the Pine Cove Road on Clear Lake near Goldonna in efforts of serving an outstanding state parole violation warrant on Jody L. Jordan.
Jordan was being sought because he had violated the terms and conditions of his probation/parole on a prior CDS Schedule II conviction.
Deputies attempted to make contact with Jordan at the camper but initially he failed to answer the door.
Shortly thereafter deputies heard activity in the camper and contacted probation and parole agents for assistance.
Probation and Parole agents responded to the scene to assist deputies and while there they observed Jordan inside the camper.
Agents and deputies issued Jordan several verbal commands to exit the camper in which he refused by remaining inside.
Deputies set-up a perimeter around the location, negotiated and remained on scene for approximately 2-hours until Jordan peacefully surrendered to law enforcement.
During a search of the camper, probation agents requested the assistance of deputies which led to the discovery and seizure of 2-grams of suspected methamphetamine, 4-suspected Diazepam narcotic pills, drug paraphernalia consisting of a weighing scales and baggies including a loaded .40 caliber semi-automatic Hi-Point handgun.
Jody Layne Jordan, 42, who gave an address of the 1400 block of Grayson Street, Natchitoches, La. was transported and booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center charged with Possession of CDS Schedule II Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute-2nd Offense, Possession of CDS Schedule IV Diazepam with Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Firearm by a Person convicted of a Felony, Illegal Possession of a Firearm with an Obliterated Serial Number, Illegal Possession of a Firearm during a Narcotics Offense, Resisting an Officer, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Parole Violation.
Jordan remains in the Natchitoches Detention Center with a parole violation hold.
Deputies say Jordan allegedly confessed to the ownership of the seized narcotics.
The seized evidence will be submitted to the crime lab for narcotics analysis and identification.
