Last week, Deputies Vanessa Stanfield and Sam Shields assigned to the NPSO Community Services Division as FINS & Truancy Deputies along with Chief Wendy Llorens assigned to the NPSO Youth Services Division attended the 37th Annual Louisiana Governor’s Conference on Juvenile Justice in New Orleans, La.
The conference include...d training in topics such as Truancy, Seeing ‘Red-Flag’ behaviors, ‘504’ Behaviors and What Parents Should Know, Legacy of Hope, Families in Need of Services, Parenting, PFA 101, Teens and the Law, Conflict Management, etc.
Deputy Vanessa Stanfield has been employed with the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office for 6-years.
Deputy Sam Shields has been employed with the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office for 4-years.
Chief Llorens has been employed with the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office for 27-years.
Sheriff Jones said we are pleased that Deputy Stanfield, Deputy Shields and Chief Llorens were able to attend the conference; they interact with families in need of services and truancy issues daily, the training will assist in serving the families and juveniles in Natchitoches Parish".
