Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested two Robeline residents on probation violation and drug charges according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Victor Jones Jr.
 
On Sunday evening July 29th, at approximately 9:33pm, sheriff’s patrol deputies were working on US-71 near Fairview when they stopped a 1989 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck for a traffic violation.
 
During the traffic stop, and while interviewing the violator, deputies observed suspected narcotics in plain view.
 
During a search of the vehicle, deputies seized suspected marijuana, and suspected zolpidem.
 
Buckey Adams, 44 of the 500 block of Freeman Loop, Robeline, La., was booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center charged with Possession of CDS Schedule I Marijuana.
 
Adams was released after posting $1750 bond set by a Tenth Judicial District Court Judge.
 
Cindy Renee Smith, aka/Cindy Tatum, 34 of the 500 block of Freeman Loop, Robeline, La., was booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center charged with Possession of CDS Schedule IV Zolidem, Resisting an Officer by giving False Information, and a Probation Violation Want after deputies learned that Smith was wanted by the State Probation and Parole Office during a AFIS check conducted at the NPDC.
 
Smith remains in the Natchitoches Detention Center.
 
Involved in the arrests were: Deputy Nicholas Smith assisted by Deputy Benjie Phelps and Reserve Deputy Steven Clanton.
