Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested a Coushatta man on felony drug charges according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Victor Jones Jr.
Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies were on La. Hwy 486 near Campti, on Tuesday evening, at approximately 8:20pm, when they stopped a 2002 GMC for a traffic violation.
Deputies suspected criminal activity, obtaining permission to search the vehicle, seizing 8 suspected hydrocodone pills, suspected marijuana, a open alcoholic beverage container, and drug paraphernalia.
Thomas Wayne Waters Jr., 33 of the 7700 block of Hwy 71, Coushatta, La., was booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center charged with Illegal Possession of CDS Schedule III Hydrocodone, Possession of CDS Schedule I Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Open Container.
Waters remains in the Natchitoches Detention Center.
Involved in the arrest were: Deputy Nicholas Smith and Reserve Deputy Collin Crow.
