Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested a Campti man on drug charges according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Victor Jones Jr.

The investigation began Tuesday morning at approximately 12:35am, when a concerned citizen contacted the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office reporting a suspicious person knocking on the back door of their residence in the 2600 block of La. Hwy 486 near Campti.

Deputies responded to the complainant’s residence but were unable to locate any suspicious persons.

While deputies were in the 2600 block of La. Hwy 486 investigating the matter and looking for suspicious activity, they noticed an open door on a nearby residence.   Deputies also observed that the door on the residence appeared to be breached.

Deputies approached the residence, made contact with the occupants and observed drug paraphernalia in plain view in the residence.

Deputies obtained permission to the residence, seizing suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Nicholas Kyle Cole, 18 of the 2600 block of La. Hwy 486, Campti, La., was issued citations for Possession of CDS I Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and released pending a court appearance in the Tenth Judicial District Court.

Involved in the arrest were:  Deputies Cory Campbell, Thurman Baptiste, and Clinton Dunn.
